Yard Waste Collection -- Schedule will be updated soon ...

Upper Darby Township collects yard waste every week on your regular recycling day. Place yard waste in biodegradable paper bags or loose in your trash can. No Plastic bags. 

Yard waste includes:

• Leaves
• Garden residues
• Shrubbery
• Tree trimmings (4 inches or less in diameter and less than 3 feet long).

DO NOT USE plastic bags. Plastic Bags cannot be used to recycle yard waste and will NOT be collected.

DO NOT include grass clippings. Grass clippings are not considered yard waste and should be included with your regular trash collection.

Christmas Trees

Christmas Trees will be collected only on the designated recycling day for your area as listed in the calendar. Trees will only be collected if they are free of lights, ornaments, tinsel, tree stands and are NOT in plastic bags. If trees have any items still attached, they will be left for pickup on trash day.
