Upper Darby Recreation provides welcoming and safe opportunities to play, learn, and build community while promoting responsible stewardship of the land. We promote healthy people, a healthy environment, and a strong community. Administrated by a small, dedicated full-time staff, the department utilizes seasonal part-time employees and strategic partnerships to operate its wide array of recreational programs. Upper Darby Recreation strives to continually provide wholesome, enjoyable, and beneficial activities to all members of our community.
We’re now live on CivicPlus Rec!
As of April 1st we began officially using our new reservation / registration system, CivicPlus Recreation Management (CivicPlus Rec). If you haven’t already, please create your household account by visiting https://secure.rec1.com/PA/upper-darby-township-pa and follow the steps below:
1. Click on the "Sign In" button and then select "Sign Up"
2. Enter your email address, name and create a password. Click "Create Account"
3. You will need to verify your email address by entering the One Time Password (OTP) that was emailed to that email address. Please note that the OTP expires in 6 minutes.
4. After entering the OTP, finish creating your account by entering the requested information for the account holder (account holder must be an adult) and click "Save"
5. Family members can be added to the account by clicking "+ Add New Account Member" from your Dashboard.
6. To request a field or park permit or to register for an event or program, navigate to the Catalog. On a Desktop: click the "Catalog" button. On a Mobile Device: click the hamburger menu and select "Catalog"
7. For rental requests: Choose the "Facility and Park Rentals" tab (olive green tab)
8. For event or program registrations: Choose the "Activities" tab (orange tab)
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to navigate the transition to our new system. While we are excited about the new system, there may be occasional bugs or minor issues as we work through the rollout.
