You will also be able to retrieve any unused time back on your card.

What Is The Park Card?

It is a convenient way to pay for metered parking without quarters. The Park Card is the size of a credit card. It is rechargeable, once the card runs out you can recharge it. There is no expiration date or time limit in which to use the Park Card.

Where can I purchase a Park Card?

It can be purchased at the Parking Enforcement Dept. 100 Garrett Rd. Room 10, Upper Darby, PA 19082 the office is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays. Call (610) 734-7646

Can I Purchase More Than One Park Card?

Yes. There is no limit to the number of cards you can purchase.

How Does The Park Card Work?

  1. Insert the Park Card into any Upper Darby Twp. parking meter card slot, which is next to the coin slot.
  2. The meter will flash the dollar balance remaining on the card four times.
  3. The meter will then begin to register the amount of time being added to the meter.
  4. Once the correct amount of time has registered, remove the Park Card.

Note: If you fail to remove the Park Card once the correct time has registered, it will continue to add time up to the posted time allowed on the meter. The meter will not register more than the posted parking time limit. You can add additional time to a meter with the Park Card by first inserting your card and adding the amount of time you want. If you still have time on your meter and wish to add additional time, first you must retrieve the unused time then insert the card again to add any additional time. If you receive an "Err" message, check to see if you are inserting the card properly. (The card must be right side up and the black arrow pointing into the meter.)

Where Can I Use The Park Card?

At any parking meter in Upper Darby Township.

Can The Park Card Be Used In Conjunction With Coins?

Yes. You can always use US Quarters in the parking meters in conjunction with the Park Card to supplement the Park Card or instead of the Park Card.

What Happens When The Park Card Runs Out?

You may bring the card back to the Parking Enforcement Dept. and add any additional money to the card.

What If I Lose Or My Park Card Is Stolen?

Unfortunately, lost or stolen cards will not be replaced. It is the responsibility of the individual. Please treat your Park Card like cash. Thank you for understanding in this matter. The Park Card is just like money. It does not guarantee or reserve a parking place for you, nor does it allow you to park beyond the posted "maximum time" on the meter.

What If My Park Card Is Damaged?

The Park Card is extremely durable and able to withstand heat, cold and moisture. Since normal usage should not affect your Park Card, no refunds can be issued.

How Do I Retrieve Any Unused Time?

When you return to your meter and still have time left on the meter. Insert your card, first you will see the amount of money on your card flash then "REF" will flash indicating your refund is in process, then finally the amount of money on your card after the refund. Then remove your card.

How Much Does The Card Cost?

There is a one time fee of $5.00 for each card. After you purchase the card you may return as many times as needed to add addition money to the card at no additional cost to you.
