Upper Darby Recreation provides welcoming and safe opportunities to play, learn, and build community while promoting responsible stewardship of the land. We promote healthy people, a healthy environment, and a strong community. Administrated by a small, dedicated full-time staff, the department utilizes seasonal part-time employees and strategic partnerships to operate its wide array of recreational programs. Upper Darby Recreation strives to continually provide wholesome, enjoyable, and beneficial activities to all members of our community.

The department processes and issues Permits for Special Events to be held in the township of Upper Darby as well as Permits for Facilities (parks, fields and recreation areas) within the township of Upper Darby.
