Community Feedback

Proposed Plastics Reduction Ordinance

Upper Darby Township is considering a new ordinance, focused on reducing the use of plastic bags and related materials. The perspective of the community on this topic is important and will help shape the future of our Township. We want to know your concerns and hear your suggestions.

The first phase of community feedback will focus on the Upper Darby business community. Businesses are asked to complete a 10-question survey by Friday, August 29, 2025.

Survey responses will be compiled and results shared at Business Community Feedback Sessions, moderated by the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce, where businesses will be invited to give additional input and ask questions. Three feedback sessions are being planned for September 2025. Following the survey and the feedback sessions, a report will be compiled and provided to Township Council for their consideration.

Paper surveys are available at the Upper Darby Township One Center at 100 Garrett Road, Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, 19082. Please return paper surveys in person to the One Center or mail to 100 Garrett Rd, Room 104, Upper Darby, PA 19082.
