Upper Darby Fire Department Hire


Sellersville native Dillon Valentine was officially sworn into the Upper Darby Fire Department (UDFD) by Mayor Edward Brown on Friday, June 20, 205.  

Dillon graduated from Harrisburg Area Community College Fire Academy on June 13, 2025, marking a significant milestone in his firefighting career. 

 A devoted husband to Alicia and father of two young daughters, Peyton and Grace, Dillon has a long-standing commitment to public service, having volunteered with Tylersport, Quakertown, and Hatfield Fire Companies.  

Since June 2024, he has served with the Northampton Fire Department and was recently selected as a candidate for the Upper Darby Fire Department.  

His academy training covered a broad spectrum of emergency response skills, including Firefighter I & II, hazardous materials response, vehicle rescue, pump and aerial operations, flashover recognition, live fire exercises, CPR, and first aid.  

He also completed courses in rope rescue, emergency vehicle operation, and numerous state and federal safety certifications. Dillon’s graduation was attended by Chief Brian Boyce, Deputy Chief Bill Norris, and several department members, underscoring the strong support for his continued dedication to serving the community.
