Upper Darby Police Department Additions

On Friday, June 13, 2025, two new officers were officially sworn in to the Upper Darby Police Department by Mayor Edward Brown. With the additions of Matthew Randall and Christopher Lyons, that now brings the total number of officers in the UDPD to 133. 

Superintendent Bernhardt expressed his appreciation for the commitment to public safety and well-being shown by Mayor Brown, Chief Administrative Officer Crandall Jones and Township Council. 

Upper Darby Township is the sixth largest municipality in Pennsylvania and the Upper Darby Police Department is an accredited law enforcement agency by the state of Pennsylvania.
