On April 3, 2025, construction began on Upper Darby Township’s Long Lane parking lot to implement long-overdue upgrades aimed at revitalizing the space.

These improvements included:

  • Fresh paving for a smoother driving and parking experience

  • Upgraded drainage systems to prevent pooling and water damage

  • Enhanced lighting for increased safety and visibility

  • Structural repairs to ensure long-term durability

  • Refreshed fixtures throughout the lot

  • New trees to beautify the area and provide natural shade

This project is fully funded by a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)—a program dedicated to helping communities grow into vibrant, safe, and sustainable places to live, work, and visit. Special thanks to the Laborers Local 413 for their fine work and partnership.

🛠️ Construction is expected to be completed the first week of June 2025.
