EMS Agreement Reached
Updated Statement from Mayor Edward Brown on EMS Services in Upper Darby Township
Upper Darby, PA — Upper Darby Township is proud to announce a new agreement with STAT EMS Medical Transport to provide emergency medical services, including both Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS).
This agreement ensures that residents will have access to reliable, high-quality emergency medical care across the Township.
“Our priority has always been the safety and well-being of our residents. This alliance with STAT will provide for that,” said Mayor Edward Brown. “I’m pleased that, through the efforts led by CAO Jones and Interim Fire Chief Boyce, we were able to come up with a solution to such a critical and complex issue in a very short period; and I appreciate the Township Council’s support getting this done.”
STAT EMS, a trusted provider with extensive experience throughout Pennsylvania, will officially begin operations in Upper Darby on Monday, April 28, 2025, aligning with the end of Crozer Health’s EMS service in the region. STAT EMS will be fully equipped to deliver timely and professional medical transport and on-scene emergency care.
Residents are reminded to call 911 in the event of an emergency. Calls will be directed to the appropriate responding unit to ensure the fastest response.
Upper Darby Township remains committed to public safety and will continue working with partners to provide the highest level of emergency care to all members of the community.
