Crandall Jones Elected President of PLGIT and APMM
Upper Darby Township Chief Administrative Officer Crandall Jones has received two prestigious honors recognizing his leadership in local government management.
On Friday, May 15, 2026, the Board of Trustees elected Mr. Jones President of the Pennsylvania Local Government Investment Trust (PLGIT).
Founded in 1981, PLGIT was created to meet the short-term investment needs of local governments, school districts, municipal authorities, and other public entities throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Today, the organization serves more than 3,300 public entity investors and cooperatively manages more than $10.8 billion across multiple investment programs.
On Wednesday, May 20, 2026, CAO Jones was also elected President of the Association for Pennsylvania Municipal Management (APMM).
APMM, is the Pennsylvania affiliate of the International City County Management Association (ICMA) and is an organization that represents professional township, borough, city, home-rule, and county managers, administrators, and council of government (COG) directors. The association is dedicated to promoting professional and effective local government management throughout Pennsylvania.
CAO Jones is the first African American elected president of both associations. He is a Credentialed Manager of the ICMA. He has served as Chief Administrative Officer of Upper Darby Township since February 26, 2024.
