Free Food Giveaway - Michelle Park

This past Saturday’s food giveaway was a tremendous success, and a strong example of what collaboration and service look like in Upper Darby.

The event was hosted by Fifth District Councilmember Myron McNeely and co-hosted by Council President Marion Minick, Vice President Noah Fields, Secretary Michelle Billups, and Councilmember At-Large Kyle McIntyre at Michelle Park.

Second District Councilmember Jonathan McMahon played an instrumental role in the success of the event, assisting with logistics and setup.

Members of Council were proud to partner with the Upper Darby Professional Firefighters Charitable Trust, the event’s sponsor. IAFF Local 2493 Union President Tom Thornton, who also serves on the Trust’s Board, was a key partner in making this effort possible.

We also thank Sixth District Councilmember David Bantoe, State Representatives Heather Boyd, Gina H. Curry, and Judge Ben Johns for their support and presence.

Through strong partnerships and a shared commitment to serving residents, we were able to make a meaningful impact for families across our community.
