What: Beyond The Statistics- Black Maternal Health Conversation

Pregnancy-related mortality rates among Black women are over three times higher than the rates for White women. Black women are also more likely than White women to have certain birth risk factors that contribute to infant mortality and can long-term consequences for the physical and cognitive health of children.
The Delaware County Health Department is hosting a community conversation focused on Black Maternal Health on Thursday, April 16th from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at the Keystone Wellness Center, 1929 W. 9th Street, Chester, PA. This panel discussion will explore ways to support Black mothers before, during and after birth. There will be also be resources and giveaways available, and dinner will be provided if registered to attend this event.
