Code Blue Shelter Alert in Upper Darby Through February 16th, 7am

Updated/ Extended Code Blue Alert Shelter Coverage  

 

Upper Darby, PA- Delaware County has issued a Code Blue notification for excessive cold temperatures through February 15, 2026.  

In response, Upper Darby Mayor Ed Brown announces that the Township, in partnership with Breaking Bread Community Shelter of Upper Darby, will provide shelter, January 30, 2026, through Monday, February 16, 2026. Hours of operation will for individuals for the following times and dates: 

Monday, Feb 9th @ 7 pm to Tuesday, Feb 10th @ 7 am
Tuesday, Feb 10th @ 7 pm to Wednesday, Feb 11th @ 7 am
Wednesday, Feb 11th @ 7 pm to Thursday, Feb 12th @ 7 am
Thursday, Feb 12th @ 7 pm to Friday, Feb 13th @ 7 am
Friday, Feb 13th @ 7 pm to Saturday, Feb 14th @ 7 am
Saturday, Feb 14th @ 7 pm to Sunday, Feb 15th @ 7 am
Sunday, Feb 15th @ 7 pm to Monday, Feb 16th @ 7 am


 

Watkins will be a code blue shelter until Monday, Feb 16th at 7:00 am.

Capacity for the shelter is 30 individuals per night.
