Snow Clearance Reminder

Property Snow Clearance

Upper Darby Township would like to remind residents about the clearing of snow from their property in a timely fashion.

Per Township Code, the owner, the owner’s agent, or tenant’s property manager of any building or premises shall, not later than 24 hours after snow has ceased to fall, clear a path on the sidewalk of said property or premises. Such path shall be not less than 36 inches in width and shall be thoroughly clear of snow and ice.

Clearing sidewalks is critical for pedestrian safety, particularly for seniors and children who rely on safe and passable walkways.

If residents would like to report locations where snow and ice have not been removed, they may inform Upper Darby Township's L&I (License and Inspection Department) through the One Center at 610-734-7625 or via email at One@UpperDarby.org.

Thank you for your cooperation. Stay safe.
