Septa D1 and D2 Trolley Construction Notices and Travel Updates

The inclement weather of Sunday November 16th caused another downed tree along the D1 line. Therefore, shuttle busses have replaced all regular service trolleys between Drexel Hill Junction and Orange Street (Media) until further notice as our crews make repairs to the overhead catenary wires. 

As a reminder, SEPTA and third-party forces will be taking proactive measures to reduce these types of service disruptions caused by inclement weather emergencies by servicing a full tree-trimming contract along both D1 and D2 lines. This work will occur on weekends only December through May. As mentioned above, this work is safety-critical to prevent hazardous trees from falling into the track area, potentially causing harm, and/or disrupting service.
