We’d like to share with our residents who may not know that you can pay your tax, sewer, and or trash bill online (www.upperdarby.org) and that service is available 24 hours, 7 days a week. It is the fastest, most efficient way to pay your bills. After payment, you will get an email confirmation, and you cannot accidentally overpay or underpay. Of course, you can also mail your payments or pay in person at our One Center, located at the Township Building (100 Garret Rd, Upper Darby, Pa 19082).

-Upper Darby Township relaunched the First-Time Homebuyer Program with significant enhancements to better support low- and moderate-income residents in achieving homeownership. Maximum down payment assistance has doubled from $10,000 to $20,000, and forgiveness period has been reduced from 10 to 5 years, allowing buyers to build equity faster.

-We welcomed a Technical Assistance Panel from the Urban Land Institute to engage stakeholders with the goal of providing action items to revitalize Downtown Upper Darby, with a focus on developing entertainment, restaurants, and public spaces to better serve residents and attract visitors.
-Upper Darby Township has contributed $800,000 in ARPA funds to the Upper Darby Arts & Entertainment Foundation for the Barclay Square Arts & Education Center, now known as "SPARC", opening in 2026.
-We engaged Rise Up Towers, LLC to erect a cell tower monopole at 0 69th Street, which will bring significantly improved cell phone and emergency response service to an underserved area and a new revenue stream to the township in 2026.
-Creation and implementation of "Smoke Shop" Ordinance No. 3155, improving how a smoke shop is defined, changing the measurement for determining smoke shops, revising the number of zoning districts that allow smoke shops, adding stricter signage requirements, and creation of a database of conforming and non-conforming smoke shops and convenience stores.
