🚨Mosquito Control Adulticide Application in Upper Darby Township🚨
In an effort to protect public health and reduce the risk of mosquito-borne illnesses, the Delaware County Mosquito Control Program will conduct an adulticide spraying operation in Upper Darby Township and surrounding municipalities on the evening of Monday, August 18, 2025.📅Â
Beginning at approximately 8:00 PM, trained applicators will use truck-mounted equipment to disperse Duet Dual Action Adulticide, a product registered with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and approved for public health mosquito control. The operation is expected to last around three hours.
Spraying will occur in Upper Darby Township, Yeadon Borough, Darby Borough, and Lansdowne Borough. Residents may notice a silver Ford F-150 pickup truck marked with the Delaware County logo operating in their neighborhoods. The equipment used will be a Clarke Pro-Mist Dura ULV fogger, designed for efficient and targeted application.
To minimize exposure, residents are advised to take the following precautions:
- Remain indoors during the spraying period.
- Close all windows and doors.
- Set air conditioners to recirculate air or turn them off.
- Bring pets and children inside.
