Drexel Hill, Pa- Upper Darby Township’s Fire Department will be overseeing the execution of a
propane burn-off within the Drexelbrook community at the corner of Drexelbrook Drive/Revere
Road & Wildell Avenue. The burn off will take 4 days, 8-10 hours per day.
Penn Valley Gas will perform a liquid transfer of propane down to approximately 3 percent. They
will use three flares that will reduce the noise during the burn-off. That will also reduce the size
of the flame.
The work will take place Monday, September 16, 2024 and last until Thursday, September 19,
2024 from 7am to 5pm. There will be no burning during the evening hours.
The Drexelbrook community residents and local businesses have been notified of the work that
will be performed. There could be increased traffic in the area.
The excavation of the (2) 30,000-gallon tanks will begin on September 23, 2024.
The removal of the (2) 30,000-gallon tanks is planned for October 3, 2024.
