Delco Alert 2/16/23

Hi, this is Mayor Barbarann Keffer with some important updates for our Upper Darby community:

This coming Monday, February 20th is a township holiday. The municipal building will be closed in honor of Presidents’ Day and no trash or recycling will be collected. Please visit www.upperdarby.org/trash to see how your pick up will be affected by the holiday.

Upper Darby is hosting our first public meeting on our Parks, Trails, and Open Space Master Plan. We encourage residents to join us next Thursday, February 23rd from 7-8:30pm in the One Center on the ground level of the Garrett Road side of the township building. We will discuss the development plans for the Naylors Run Master Site. Residents can hear from our consultants on the project and collaborate in discussions on opportunities and constraints. For more information you can call 610-789-3656 or email recreation@upperdarby.org

The Community Action Agency of Delaware County is hosting their tax prep program this year in their new location 7401 W Chester Pike. You can schedule an appointment today with an IRS certified tax preparer by calling 610-833-4443.

Upper Darby has allocated $1.7 million of ARPA funds for one time funding to eligible nonprofits. Applications are now open and we are hosting two webinars for interested applicants to review the application process, ARPA eligibility and submission requirements, the application portal, and timeline. The virtual webinars will be held at 6:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 22, 2023 and again at 6:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 7, 2023. To sign up for our webinars or to access the application portal, please visit our website www.upperdarby.org  and click the scrolling alert.

This is Mayor Barbarann Keffer wishing you a great rest of your week.
