Delco Alert - July 29, 2020

Hello, this is Mayor Barbarann Keffer with some important information for our Upper Darby Township community.

The Upper Darby Township Municipal building is now open by appointment or for limited business. We have made some COVID-related adjustments to the township building to better serve our community.. Parking tickets may be paid online or at the Long Lane entrance of the building. For all other departments, please call 610-352-4100 to see if you can be assisted by phone or to schedule an appointment. If you must address your situation in person, please go to the Chestnut Street entrance. Many paper permit applications and other township forms can be picked up and completed in the foyer. There is also a secure mail slot to drop off forms and payments. . If you need to make an appointment to work with the Department of Licenses & Inspections on a development plan or permit, please call 610.734.7613.

We will resume our street sweeping pilot program on Monday, August 3, on the 200 and 300 blocks of Huntley Road and the 700 block of Shelbourne Road. We are monitoring the program and expect to slowly expand it throughout the township.

The Environmental Advisory Committee has three openings. Any resident who is interested in serving on this committee which works on township quality of life and sustainability issues, please send your resume and letter of interest to: mayor@upperdarby.org.

One last thing, if you have not completed your Census form, please do so now. The Census can be done online at: www.2020Census.gov. The Census is safe and secure and will lay the foundation for funding and programming for our next ten years. Letís Make Upper Darby Count!

This is Mayor Barbarann Keffer wishing you a wonderful week.
