Please understand that some alleyways scheduled for trash pick-up may not be passable and we will not be able to pick up the trash in these locations.
Mayor Micozzie met with key staff early today Wednesday February 12, 2014 The Upper Darby Township staff will start snow removal activities around Midnight Thursday February 13, 2014. The plan is for Township staff to continue snow removal activities throughout the forecast snow event which could last up to 28 hours.
The extreme cold temperatures will make being outside dangerous. However, please remember that every reasonable attempt should be made to clear your sidewalk of snow, once the snow has stopped. Contractors are reminded that when clearing commercial parking lots they should not push the snow into the highway. This is dangerous and illegal.
Emergency situations should be reported to the police and fire by calling 911. At this point usual problems or concerns can be made to 610.734.7625
