PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that the Zoning Hearing Board under “The Upper Darby Ordinance of 2010” will hold a regularly scheduled Public Hearing on Thursday December 16, 2021 at 7:00 P.M. in the Municipal Building, Council Room, Second Floor, located at 100 Garrett Road, Upper Darby, Pennsylvania.

The Board will consider matters within its jurisdiction and will receive testimony from persons who would be affected by the Granting of this Application for Special Exception, Variance or Appeal from the terms of the aforesaid ordinances.

11-9 of 19 (REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL 1 YEAR EXTENSION): Application of Delaware County Community College for a Special Exception pursuant to Section 301 to permit a College on a portion of the property currently owned by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia which houses the Monsignor Bonner and Archbishop Prendergast Catholic High School. Applicant also seeks Variances from the following sections of the Zoning Code: Section 404-B as applied by Section 301 and Table 3-1 to permit a child day care center use on the Lot and to allow a child day care center together with the principal use of the Lot as a College; Section 801-B.5 to permit parking in the front yard; Section 401 as applied by Table 4-1 to permit the erection of a building and parking deck which are closer to the street line than the existing buildings; Section 401 as applied by Table 4-1 to permit the construction of an addition to the Main Building which will not exceed the existing height of the building but will be in excess of 35 feet; and Article IX, Section 902-G.1 and 902-G.1.b.iii to permit a CEVMS sign and a freestanding sign and wall signs which exceed 16 square feet. In addition, Applicant seeks such other relief consistent with this Application and the Plans and Exhibits submitted to the Zoning Hearing Board; situate 403 N. Lansdowne Avenue, Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania. R-1 Residential District, 3rd Council District.

C-2 Traditional General Commercial District, 1st Council District.

12-2 of 21: Application of Student Run Emergency Unit of Philadelphia (SREHUP) for a Variance from Section 55-12.(B) to allow property to be used as emergency housing which is not permitted in the C-1 District; situate 107 Long Lane, Upper Darby, Pennsylvania. C-1 Traditional Neighborhood Commercial District, 7th Council District.
