Michelle Billups

I grew up in North Philadelphia and moved to Upper Darby in 2006. Initially, I moved to the township in order to be closer to my house of worship. Now, I would not live anywhere else. I went to public school. I have a bachelorís degree from Duquesne in History. I have furthered my education by obtaining a Masterís Degree in Criminal Justice and Masterís Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Health Administration. A few committees I have served on are: Continuum of Care at the Office of Homeless Services in Philadelphia, Philadelphia Fight AIDS Education Month Quality Improvement at Temple, Media ministry and Childrenís church at Careview Community Church.

I was elected to township council as Council at- Large in November 2019. Currently I am serving on several committees: Law and Government & Rules and Procedures for which I am the chair, Public health and environmental affairs, and Finance and Appropriations I also serve as secretary of Council.

I live in the sixth district of the township with my cat Simba. I am the mother to Christopher and mother in law to Melody. I am the grandmother to Amaya, Jalissa and Noah I am a faithful member of Careview Community Church where my pastor is Paul James.
