Upper Darby Recreation
Adult "Walk er Cise Program"
Upper Darby Recreation announces its Winter Walker-er-cise program for adult walking enthusiasts. This program is a combination of walking and exercise set to music in a safe enclosed environment. It is geared to all levels of adult walkers.
This class will be offered on Thursday evenings April 8, 2010 thru May 20, 2010 at U. D. Kindergarten Center gymnasium. Class time is 6:30 p.m. onLy.
Fee is $30/person. Class includes warm-up, walking to a beat, standing exercise, aerobic walking, stretch, and cool down.
All participants should wear comfortable clothes and supportive footwear.

Youth Martial Arts Program
Upper Darby Recreation announces a Youth Martial Arts Program. This program is an introductory course, which explores many types of Martial Arts. It includes the basic concepts of fitness, forms, seLf defense, kicking, and others.
This one-hour course is availabLe to boys and girls ages 8 to 15 years. It will be held on Tuesday evenings at 6:00 p.m. beginning April 6, 2010 thru May 25, 2010. Fee is $65 / person. The course is available to first-time students only.
The course will be instructed by Daniel Pope, world champion Karate expert. Classes will be held at the Daniel Pope Karate Institute, 88 Baltimore Pike, Lansdowne
PA 19050.
Registration is being taken only through Upper Darby Recreation, 4820 Drexelbrook Drive, Drexel Hill PA 19026.

Women’s Fitness Aerobic Kickboxing
Upper Darby Recreation wilL continue to offer the Women’s Fitness Aerobic Kickboxing Program. Join the upbeat, exciting program, taught by renowned champion Daniel Pope. The spring class will include stations in yoga and pilates!
This program is geared to women 16 years and older who want to improve their cardiovascular fitness and achieve weight loss.
The one-hour course will operate on Tuesday or Thursday evenings beginning the week of April 6 and continue for 8 weeks. Classes will be held at 8:00 p.m. The Tuesday class will be held at 88 Baltimore Pike, Lansdowne PA. The Thursday class will be held at 424 Baltimore Pike, Springfield. Fee for either course is $65.
