HOMELESS PREVENTION FUND This notice advises the public of the allocation amount to Upper Darby Township, for
the Homelessness Prevention Fund, hereafter referred to as the "Homelessness
Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Progeram (HPRP)," under Title XII of the American
Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 ("Recovery Act").

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE THROUGH THE
FORMOF GRANTS OR GRANTS AND
LOANS FOR HOME REHABILITATION
The
Upper Darby Township Department of
Community Development, through the
Township Department
of Licenses and
Inspection, applies for and administers
both state and federal grants. These state
and federal
funds are then used within the
Township for a wide range of programs
including housing, capital
improvements,
park improvements, police protection, fire
protection, and many other programs to
benefit
the community.
One of the largest programs the
township funds is financial assistance in
the form of grants or grants and loans,
for home rehabilitation, for
owner-occupant households of the single
family type unit. The financial assistance
is offered to lower income owner-occupants
who meet eligibility requirements,
including income eligibility requirements,
as well as other requirements set forth by
home rehabilitation guidelines.
