The Department of Administrative
Services is responsible for performing
staff functions for the Mayor and Chief
Administrative Officer and assisting
departments in carrying out their duties.
The Department is directly responsible for
several of the Township's services. Those
services consist of the Townships
communication & computer systems,
housekeeping and maintenance for the
Municipal Buildings, employee insurance
benefits and the Request Department.
Request Department is where the
residents of Upper Darby can call to
request township services. The department
is staffed by two service representatives
who can take requests concerning health
issues, animals, trash, signs, sewers,
graffiti, fire hazards, abandoned vehicles
and license/permit/zoning violations. You
can reach a Service Representative by
phone at 610-734-7625 or by e-mail at
request@UpperDarby.org.
All requests for Township records
covered by the Right-to-Know Law must be
made in accordance with, and will be
governed by, both the Law and the Upper
Darby Township policy. The Right-to-Know
requset form is available for download
below, using the Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Upper Darby Township entered the
computer age in June 1987, with the
purchase of a IBM system 36, for our
Finance Department. Over the years we have
progressed from the system 36 to a state
of the art IBM AS400 or on a stand alone
personal computer.
The Department of Administrative Services
official function
is detailed in the Administrative
Code.
