Upper Darby to host “National Night Out” on Tuesday, August 2, 2016
Annual campaign helps to foster communication and strengthen relationships
between neighborhood residents and local law enforcement officials
UPPER DARBY, Pa. – Upper Darby Township officials will host National Night Out on Tuesday, August 2, 2016, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Upper Darby High School. Residents are asked to lock their doors, turn on outside lights and spend an evening outside with neighbors and police as part of the annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make local neighborhood communities create a safer, better place to live.
Nearly a dozen exhibitors will host a number of activities, including demonstrations on bike safety, financial literacy and martial arts; after-school safety talk; story and drum circle; and soccer scrimmage games.
